About

MA Climate & Health Day is an advocacy day that was founded by four Next Gen Climate & Health Ambassadors for Physicians for Social Responsibility (PSR)—Eliana, Efi, Tristan, and Wafaa—who wanted to bring attention to the health impacts of climate change and policy solutions that can help protect both people and the planet.

During this advocacy day, health professionals and health professions students meet with policymakers to advocate for bills that aim to address environmental justice and improve public health. Some of our legislative priorities include:
  • Strengthening decarbonization efforts to improve public health
  • Siting reform that elevates the voices of environmental justice communities
  • ​Modernizing the bottle bill to decrease emissions and improve recycling​
